Information

In March of 2000 a Request for Qualifications was issued by The Pikes Peak Regional Building Department, City of Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs Utilities, and the El Paso County Government, to develop a central Development and Permit Center. This desire to establish a single location will co-locate the offices of the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department, The El Paso County Government Planning Department and the other agencies associated with development review and building permits for the City of Colorado Springs and El Paso County, Colorado

It is the goal for the “One Stop” Regional Development Center to enhance and expedite services provided to the residents as well as the building and development community of the City of Colorado Springs and El Paso County, Colorado. This LEED project creates not only a multi-purpose office environment, but also provides facilities and support spaces to augment the services the existing areas cannot provide, such as a community area for hearings and appeals. This facility is simply a better building by design, by providing a comfortable and productive work environment. Project completed in June of 2004.
